I just read a very interesting thing in a book i just bought. It says how plenty of fighters from the 70's and 80's, who were looking for a big fight, would fight a lesser fighter and PURPOSELY look bad so the big fighter they were looking for, woud more easily accept.
get it?
Is it possible that CASTILLO, knowing he could easily handle a guy like NDOUJ or w/e, purposely make the fight closer in order to make Hatton take the fight a little lighter.
And is it at all possible that MARGARITO made his fight with CLOTTEY a bit closer just so COTTO would jump on the chance at an easy win?
Im not saying they wouldnt have struggled anyway, but do u think that they saw more oppurtunites then they took during the fight, in order to make it closer. ANd then stepped it up at the right moments to take enought rounds?
It was just an interesting point a read and it could be related to these two guys, who recently struggled with lesser oppenents. More aimed at Margarito
