Were CASTILLO and MARGARITO FAKING IT?!?!?!?!

I just read a very interesting thing in a book i just bought. It says how plenty of fighters from the 70's and 80's, who were looking for a big fight, would fight a lesser fighter and PURPOSELY look bad so the big fighter they were looking for, woud more easily accept.

    get it?

Is it possible that CASTILLO, knowing he could easily handle a guy like NDOUJ or w/e, purposely make the fight closer in order to make Hatton take the fight a little lighter.

And is it at all possible that MARGARITO made his fight with CLOTTEY a bit closer just so COTTO would jump on the chance at an easy win?

Im not saying they wouldnt have struggled anyway, but do u think that they saw more oppurtunites then they took during the fight, in order to make it closer. ANd then stepped it up at the right moments to take enought rounds?

It was just an interesting point a read and it could be related to these two guys, who recently struggled with lesser oppenents. More aimed at Margarito

I made a thread like this a while back.

My example was winky. There was talk about oscar fighting winky if he got through mayweather.

I felt that winky knowing that he had a potential big money fight with oscar he let ike land on or two punches that normally wouldn't have landed just so that oscar and other fighters would say " look he is getting hit more than before."
Winky had just took big punches from taylor so a couple shots from ike wouldn't of really hurt him.

I don't think Castillo faked it, he lost a ton of money out of that deal I think he's just an undisciplined ****. I'm sure Margarito faked it thou.

          none of em faked it.
i think urango was paid to faked it though. just watch the fight closely it all looks so rehearsed. watch every time urango throws the left hook he throws it rite over hatton head while hatton makes the same move over and over again.

Winky did the same thing nobody wanted to fight him so he looked like crap in his fights with Candelo and Hernandez and then Mosley accepted his challenge.

CLottey was clearly was the better boxer, both in style, and class that night.

If he hadn;t broken his hand he would have easily ebaten margarito Ud.

If Margarito couldn;t handle CLotteys hand speed and skills, imagine if he fought Floyd.

Both were just in with game opponents. Its a nice concept though.
