Pavlik-Zertuche FOTY candidate?

I personally enjoyed this fight a whole lot. You had 2 punchers that wanted to knock each other out, going at it and never clinching or running. Lots of activity and suspense.

Pavlik getting hurt and continuing with lots of heart.
Zertuche getting hurt lots of times and ignoring it and trying to knock Pavlik out

2 total knock downs in the fight

The end of the fight ending in a punch so perfect that it put the fighter to sleep.

I would definitely say this is fight of the year material. Haven't seen a good fight like that in a while.

it was a very good scrap and a good fight to start off 2007. i dunno about FOTY, but it was a pretty good fight.

If it was round 3 over and over and over, then yes.

but sadly, the fight started turning very one sided at about round 5.

And then the ending was awsome.

Jesus, I hope that's not a FOTY candidate. That would mean a ****ty year for fights. Not saying the fight ******, but it only flared up at certain times.

i wouldn't say fight of the year, but i enjoyed this fight alot. pavlik really impressed me, stepping up he showed a good chin, the ability to make adjustments during the fight and his usual good fundamentals.
