I'm pretty sure neither Trinidad, his father, or Don King wanted to set up a rematch against Hopkins after that destruction. No offense to Tito or his fans, but he got seriously schooled.
Hopkins vs Trinidad

The plan was for him to come back and fight Mosley at 154, but Mosley got schooled by Wright. Then they came back and said they wanted Hopkins, and they basically tried what K-Dogg sugested. He had his tuneup with Mayorga and went after the title eliminator against Wright, and we all saw what happend there.Comment

so you cannot read your own posts:
"how sluggish, out of shape and unprepared Trinidad looked"
which implies that Tito couls have done better if he was not sluggish, had he been in shape and prepared
if you did not imply that, than the answer to your question on (why there was no rematch?) is "because it would not have been any different"Comment

No one's implying anything, I saw four of his last fights before BHop and is a fact he did looked unprepared, .... Low punch output, following Bhop around, waiting for one big shot, ... All are signed of a tired, unprepared fighter. Whether the outcome would've been different, I guess we'll never know and that is up to individual opinions. The question is why it never happened.so you cannot read your own posts:

Tito was beat by a bigger better man on that night nothing more nothing less . To me he did not look out of shape or any of the other he just found out fast that this guy was able to take his power and there was nothing he could do about it .Comment
