The timing of Vitali's comeback is somewhat suspect to me. I think that he sees an easy fight in Maskaev and is doing everything in his power to get this fight. If Peter wins the WBC title from Maskaev then Vitali I think has a much harder fight in front of him considering that he's been on the sidelines for the past two years.

Easy fight in Maskaev? Well maybe, but most probably it's not only because of that. The whole damn division is just too weak, and he probaby feels he can be a dominating figure again.

...Cool video. I didn't think Fritz had a sense of humor so that bit at the end was interesting.

I am kind of surprised that Vitali decided to continue training with Fritz. I thought he would go a different route. I know that Fritz is well respected in Europe but, I have never been impressed with him.

...Wasn't Manny kind of an advisor to Vitali at one time. I don't think they saw eye to eye on a few things.

I have a problem with Fritz's training habits. When Steward mentioned that Wlad never sparred more than six rounds while training and that could have lead to his lack of stamina in fights, that pretty much sums up Fritz's weakness as a trainer.

...Good point, and that made zero sense to me that he trained Wlad that way.
