Very good article. A good read. The author has a very good point and very much explained.

Hamed carried the lower weights on his back during the times when the Heavies are lording all the headlines. And for that nobody can deny that the guy deserves phraises for that. But as a fighter I'm just not too solve on Hamed.

Fighters shows their greatness by taking good account of themselves after a loss, that he never showed us because he quit after just one loss. That tells us everything about the guys heart. Plus he never fought a formiable opponent in Luisito Espinosa during Espinosa's prime.

The only reason Pacman, Morales and Barrera dpnt have to worry about money when they retire is because of Naz. He brought the serious money into the featherweight division.

The reason people are bringing up all these Naz threads is because theyre realising how great he was for the sport. Boxing is dry at the moment, its not going to stay dry but for the moment its in a pretty boring situation. With all this UFC bull**** going on people are looking back on the Naseem's and the Tyson's and are remembering how good boxing is the best sport in the world

Speaking of Luisito Espinosa, is it really true NAZ ducked him? Any inside story about this? What could have been the outcome if they had fought each other?

I don't think that is a reasonable comment at all!!! So would you say that Benn, Eubank, and Watson were not worth watching? Surely not, and those are only obvious examples.
Hamed did bring plenty of charisma to the featherweight division, and he was exceptional, but that charisma was later overshadowed by extreme arrogance, and IMO he underestimated the threat posed to him by Barrera.
That said, i do miss Hamed, and he was entertaining, but as i've stated before, later in his career had Hamed spent more time on his ring craft rather than ring entrances then he may have achieved more.

Naz was also a bigot, to add to those other trait. He's where he belongs and Pacquiao would knock the **** out of him.

I dont believe so, but some do.

Espinosa was beaten by Soto, and Hamed then faced Soto. I think if Espinosa hadnt lost they would of met.

But it seems Hamed should of fought JMM since he was ranked highly for a number of years. I read that in an article somwhere recently.

He was and probably still is very snide about his religion in comparison with others. His attitude on this caused Lampley to make remarks about him.

Anyone who says he ducked Espinosa is talking bull****. It was common knowledge Luisito was only interested in fighting high purse, low quality opponent fighters and wanted no part of Naz when he moved to the US.
