I recently downloaded the Liddel vs Ortiz ppv event, i can't seem to see what the hype is all about.
They start out standing, 90% of fights end up on the floor, either tangling their legs around each other until one falls asleep or beat a guy when he's down.
I guess i'm biased towards boxing but i won't be watching any more UFC in the future.Comment

Actually they are great for the martial arts. They go into that cage to test themselves and their art. What's a disgrace are the 'masters' who talk a big game(and charge alot of $$$) and won't allow themselves or their art to be tested.Comment

Martial Arts isn't about going into a cage and fighting for money. A martial art is kind of like a lifestyle, something that takes your whole life to truely master. Mixed martial artists bounce between different forms trying to get the best from them.Comment

The majority of ufc fans have been said to be wrestling fans people who are into more submmission than outstanding k.o's sometimes they may do things simmilar to boxing but most of the time its ground fight with sometimes ground k.o's but mainly wrestling.Comment

I love it when 2 skilled fighters roll (go to the ground), its a chess match that I enjoy very much. Now dont get confused with some of the lame lay on top of a guy stuff. I'm talking about guys who advance their positions from both top and bottom and are dangerous on both.
Before you condem skilled ground fighting look at the Diego Sanchez vs Karo Parisyan. You will see a Judo guy and wrestler with tremendous ground skill strike, takedowns, reverses, attempted submissions, escapes, counters. Excellent and exciting fight.
Why dont you reserve your judgement until you've seen that fight.Comment
