Interesting article about boxing and MMA in newspaper

I was reading my school newspaper today and this was the only one interesting that I thought I should share.

I agree with it a lot except a few things such as boxers don't have enough talent as MMA guys do. Wondering what your opinions on it is.

HE says at the end that he is an avid boxing fan. Yet he calls Mayweather the most exciting fighter in the sport! LOL!!!

This guy shows his bias throughout the entire article, which you arent supposed to do. Half the stuff wasnt even true.

Im open to good arguments, but some of the stuff said made me chuckle a little bit

MMA had a go at tackling boxing but I feel that boxing is on the rise again and MMA is sort of tailing off as people get sick of cheap publicity by organisations such as UFC. People watch boxing and complain about the hugging then they watch MMA... Eventually these casual fans lose interest in watching UFC.

This article is completely biased and false. Check this out. I recently switched over to an all-boxing gym. I was going to an MMA gym for about 4 months. I took the boxing class they offered there. Boxing is a much harder workout than an MMA workout is and this is why. I started the gym at the same time, better yet, the same day as six other people. We all went to every class every day for four months. I started completely out of shape. After two months I was in very good shape and I would do every workout harder than everybody else there. Now I know everyone's different and works different, but when we sparred I beat the living **** out of them. Not to mention, after the boxing class they would take an MMA class with the elbows, kicks, takedowns, submissions, etc. They ALL trained for two hours everyday. One hour of boxing with me, then i'd leave home and they'd stay for another hour of MMA. So they got twice the workout as me, and I always beat them in sparring. Now I know that boxing is different than martial arts, but even if it was a martial arts fight, I'd just box them and beat them. I went eight rounds one day of sparring and I was a lot better than the MMA guys, and we all started working out at the same time and they were in better shape than me because they worked out for 2 hours a day while I only worked out for 1 hour a day. So to say boxers can't do it is just a biased opinion. I once fought one guy doing MMA stuff and he couldn't kick me cuz I'd move out the way, he never landed a punch, and when he'd run to take me down I'd just stick and move. I beat him at MMA, with no elbows or nothing, just boxing. About a boxer using elbows and kicks, I don't know, but a boxer can certainly box an MMA guy in an MMA fight any time and win.

          LoL "against lackluster competition".......

UFC is about as lackluster as it could possibly get in professional sport anything.
