It's a shame because I value Geoff's opinion above everyone else's. I really do. But this almost invalidates it.Comment

He doesn't need to sharpen his skills, he's had them all along.
He uses his jab well as a range-finder, follows a left uppercut behind it (his left uppercut has to be the best punch in the HW division), he bypasses using a jab well with his left hand down the pipe (often perfectly timed). He knows how to turn an opponent - almost effortlessly, he knows how to step off to the side to land a left hand counter down the pipe. It's difficult to get close enough to land a left hook on him because of his long right jab and when you do he's measured you coming in with that left uppercut or stepped off and slotted that left hand lead, and he knows how to roll with right hands. He's excellent. And has the best dexterity on the inside for a tall guy that I've seen at HW. On the few occasions I've seen him truly open up, amateur or pro, he's always got his opponent out of there. There's a lot more to come out of him..
This is why I like Geoff. Beneath the apparent insanity is sound boxing analysis. but let me remind you that the best punch in the heavyweight division is Wlad's jab. Second is Wlad's right when it's measured from a jab. Third maybe his hook off the jab? I know I sound like a nuthugger now, but . . .Comment
