Middleweight contender Edison Miranda (27-1, 24 KOs) and super middleweight contender Allan Green (23-0, 16 KOs) will collide on HBO on March 3rd in San Juan, Puerto Rico. They will meet at a catchweight of 162 in the opener before the WBA welterweight clash featuring Miguel Cotto and Oktay Urkal. Contracts are not yet signed, but both parties have agreed to terms, and lead promoter Top Rank as well as HBO have OK'd it

Mutha'***a' that is a good match. Hard to imagine this one being boring. Miranda can turn the tide with one damn punch and Green's shown he can get tagged. I'm on the fence who to pick, which, of course, means this is a great fight.

Damn, guys, I know Green is the bigger guy, but Mirando could easily compete at 168 in the near future. I wouldn't make Green THAT big of a favorite, at least not as big as a lot of you are making it out to be. In all honesty, when I first saw that they were fighting, I thought Miranda would win. I know it's just an instant reaction that could change over time, but Miranda looked psycho in his last outing.

Miranda is one of the best conditioned athlete's I have seen. He has never gassed out. He chased Abraham around the ring in 100 degree heat for 12 rounds and never let up. He didnt get the KO, but it had nothing to do with his conditioning.
It could end early, but I wouldnt be shocked to see Miranda also outbox Green in a close fight and wear him down with a late KO.

I'm not gonna lie. I got a boner when I heard about this card. The undercard should be better than the main event, but I've grown to love watching Cotto fight.

damn, this is could be fight of the year... i think it's safe to say green will probably taste canvas in the early rounds. miranda hits a lot harder than donnie mccrary and has fought better opposition. this fight is kind of good and bad, cause i'm a fan of both guys, though i like green a little more and if he does beat miranda he's probably ready for a title shot

This is a great matchup. The Adamek-Dawson card is better but this is pretty good also. I think Miranda will find a way to win this fight. He has fought and beaten the better opposition, and I am sure weighing in at 162 helps Miranda more than it does Green.
