    Question for ICE re:James Toney

    Ice,

I know you are friends with JT.

If you were to give advice at this stage of his career to him, would you care to share with us?

    regards,

    drh

It's hard to say...... he doesnt seem to have the power to turn a fight around at HEAVYWEIGHT like a Peter, Klitscko, etc. does... thats a big problem, of course. I don't know how he trains anymore, haven't worked in the gym with him for a good while..... and now at age 38..... heavyweight doesnt seem the place for him anymore.

well i dont think he could make the 200 lb limit for crusierwieght so he is done, he should rack up a few more wins and call it a career he has nothing left to prove

YUP LOL. I talk a lot about that in my book.... he liked when I talked smack back at him, though. It was actually fun and there were days when I was like "Wow, are we still friends or does this dude hate me now?" Afterwards everything would be back to normal, though

James Toney should retire, although he still gives many hw's problems it is a prooven fact that he doesnt have the punch to be a hw, some of those right hands he hit Peter with looked good but they didint do anything to him just like they wouldnt have done nothing to most of the other hw's out there. Hes had a great career and why push it cause it will only go downhill from here..
