I really don’t want to see Gatti get hurt anymore. A couple years ago I was dieing to see this, but today, not so much.

But if it were to happen, i would imagine it being a 5 round war where both guys would be hurt and into survival mode. Hatton picking up the KO with a lethal flurry towards the end of the 5th.

Gatti to be hospitalised and severely hurt. I wouldn't want to see it, not after seeing Gatti get knocked to pieces by Baldomir.

hatton beats gatti by ko before the 7th now.

prime for prime, if you consider the tszyu fight hatton's prime, then hatton beats gatti by tko or ud.

Gatti was never as good as Hatton. Hatton in 4 now. Hatton in 8 prime vs prime.

To the thread starter: You seriously think Mickey Ward could beat hatton? Laughable.

well their both on the slide, but gatti is much further along than hatton. Hatton has another couple of good fights in him, gatti was all finished after pbf, maybe even a little while before that (leija maybe). prime against prime i'd pick hatton on points, if only cos when hes on form he's harder to hit than gatti has ever been (even in his later incarnations as a 'boxer'), even if gatti does have a slight edge in power. Today its hatton ko, probably before halfway through the fight.

Ok, i think everyone agrees Gatti would be beaten now...

But what about wen he was at his best??

I think Hatton might have more variety. But doesnt punch as hard as Gatti did.
I think Gatti could hurt Hatton, but Hatton would smother him and hurt him to the body.
Not sure who would eventually win this exaughsting slug feast.

I think this fight is still a competitive one. Gatti would put up a fight, probably lose but one punch from Gatti could turn the fight around in his favor.

Too bad Micky Ward is now retired. Ward vs Hatton would be a damn good fight and I would pick Ward in a heartbeat just cuz of his chin and body punching.
Now? Hatton early, Gatti's tank is empty im afraid! He still has the power and skills to beat DECENT guys but not the top lads against Mayweather and Baldy he showed his tank was dry in terms of taking the punishment and keeping coming. The well had too dry up sooner or later, damn shame I luv Gatti! Anyway its Hatton bt stoppage for me
