It would be an interesting match-up because Cotto has good handspeed and good power and Mayweather, I don't feel, has enough pop in his punches at 147 to do more than stun Cotto. However, Mayweather is more skilled IMO than Cotto and that, more than likely, would be the difference. Still, styles make fights, so you don't really know anythig for sure until they throw hands.

I'd like to see it made, that's for sure.

I guess that makes Castillo an xtra terrestrial. The way Cotto looked fighting at his own weight without draining himself was pretty impressive, not to mention the way he cuts the ring off. PBF doesn't like to get hit to the body, wonder if he'll come back down after Oscar's fight and fight Cotto or if he'll retire and avoid him.

You're crazy if you think Arum is letting Floyd anywhere near Cotto.

I don't see enough money in it for PBF neither, I bet after the Oscar fight, he goes for Mosley or any other bigger pay day than Cotto. Cotto's a high risk low reward fight for him as Margarito was not too long ago. Still, I think if the fight ever happens, Cotto would be too strong for him.

and then he hit the heavy bag ...lol that **** was dope and funny as hell

one of the biggest flaws of cotto is he can't take one clean ... he aint never went down but damn man, he was close and he got rocked by corley and torres ... BAD... and another fighter right?

I aint really never seen floyd mayweather take a punch clean EXCEPT against corley... floyd got rocked and took it pretty good... since then I aint really seen no one hit him...

floyd vs cotto- would be floyd 12 round decision ...or because an accumilation of punishment... floyd by 8 rd knockout...

Watch the Emmanuel Agustus fight. Floyd himself said it was his toughest fight.

at 147 Cotto has a very good chance of stopping PBF with those body shots. Granted PBF has excellent movement but like any other boxer he is there to be hit with body shots and this is something to avoid with Cotto. Cotto is also young and still improving, defense is tightening up, endurance, chin and power seemed to have improved with the step up to 147 also. But Floyd is an awesome boxer and may be able to adjust to Cotto it probably comes down to how quickly he can do this. If its before accumulated body punches liquefy his guts and turn his legs into concrete PBF could take a UD or maybe even shock take Cotto out . I see a great fight regardless of the outcome probably wont happen tho too many bumps in the road to get there

i also believe that was floyd's toughest fight besides castillo 1. floyd took some decent punches from emmanuel but tagged him all night. eman was tough as hell that night. he took a lot of punishment and fought to the end. it was a competitive fight.
