U guys think Castillo could hurt Ricky like Cotto could?

Castillo has a mean left hook too, but seemed sluggish in his last fight.

      cotto would destroy him...

floyd would make him go drop to 135 and never came back to the U.S.

I cant believe hatton wants to fight floyd...maybe he's just tryin to make a **** load of money before he retires ..because mayweather would make this guy look handicap

OMG ! This I agree with.

Cotto is an awesome fighter. He has a sense of composure and killer instinct, and his body attack is lethal. But if he ever faces Hatton, he will find his first loss in my opinion. Cotto's chin is hittable, and Hatton breaks a very good body attack of his own. I believe Hatton can stay away from Cotto's body attack because he has the footspeed and energy to commit to such a strategy. As for Cotto, he will eventually get hurt by Hatton and he will not be allowed to recover.

Hatton would have a bit of a brutal fight with Cotto before TKOing him in the early-mid rounds.

Hatton says he wants Cotto, and I believe if he beats Castillo he feels he will have what he needs to beat Cotto at 147. Collazo poses a different style than Cotto. They are not to be compared.

I just see Cotto doing everything Hatton does betterat 147lbs. Cotto at 147lbs is stronger and Cotto is a better boxer (both going forward and backwards), only fights I've seen Hatton box in are against Tackie (who was extremely faded) and Urango (who is slow as all hell). I can see Hatton giving angels inside etc etc but not boxing Cotto or any other top fighter in 140lbs or 147lbs.

With that said you have to wonder how much of Hatton fading in the later half of the Urango fight was do to conditioning and how much do to the body punches that Urango was able to put in. I dont need to point out that Cotto is a harder puncher than Urango and much much quicker.

If this were a weight drained 140 pound Cotto we were talking about then Hatton would have a shot at beating him. At 147 this fight would be as good as over. Cotto would stop Ricky in one way or another...whether he'd just mangle his face, stop him with an accumulation of punishment, or just KO him outright is the question.

Cotto is going to be a force at 147. I don't think we'll see him have the same problems he was having at the end of his 140 pound campaign.
