whats wrong with his hips. Does he need a zimmer frame? I thought it was his elbow that had the problem not its his hips. His arms have lengthend 2 inches so i thought he was alright.

Hatton has fought not to let it go public, because he's a class act and doesn't want excuses.
But put it this way - he came very close to hanging up his gloves in '04.Comment

We dont know what is going on with Hatton's hips. Geoff seems to have decided that its a big issue (we know he has had problems with them in the past, dont know what the case is now), but there are so many other possible factors in Hatton's average performances of late (well, 4 title victories in 4 fights 3 of which in a fairly clinical way) and especially his unusually lacking durability towards the end of the matches that it doesnt seem all that necessary to come up with this stone-wall 'bad hips' excuse.
I dont even think that Hatton needs an excuse. Castillo is more the type of opponent who he likes to face...so is Maywhether comapred to the guys he's been fighting lately, so is Cotto. If he gets beat by them, he doesnt really need an excuse, he came up against truly worthy boxers and got beat. If he performs, then he doesnt need any excuses either, he was just having a rough patch in his previous few fights. Every fighter has them and has to grind out the occassionally unimpressive victory (a virtual shut out over a slow but dangerous truck who could not be bullied isnt necessarily unimpressive, even if the manner of the last few rounds was).Comment

I know....Hatton probaby has a few problems or injuries as do a lot of athletes, but Hatton is still winning. Castillo hasnt got any physical problems and he is not winning convincing. Anything can happen in boxing. If Hatton continues to win....that is all that matters.Comment

Why?
Nobody is particularly agreeing with his prognosis of the 'bad hips'.
Or is it perhaps that you simply dont want it to be the case where you need to accept that there is more than a couple of people who have a different viewpoint on things to yourself?Comment

It's already been mentioned but Tszyu was third on the P4P lists behind Floyd Mayweather and Winky Wright. Corrales, Castillo and Hernandes were not in the top ten, P4P when Floyd beat them. No sooner had Tszyu quite on his stool, then people were trying to diminish Rick's achievement.LOL, sure Hatton's win over 35year old, surgery recovering, 9 rounds in 2 years Tzu is better than PBF beating prime Corrales, Castillo, HernadezComment
