should there be a HW weight limit? lets say, 250lbs and below, so that Heavyweights trained properly and comes in shape, we wont see such woeful and out of shape danny williams who stands 6"2 and weight almost 270lbs coming into the fight, As for Nicolay Valuev, maybe boxing could another weight class from someone who outweight his opponent by 60-70 pounds, a terribly huge disadvantage.
Should there be a Heavyweight Limit

yes and no.........there should be some rules anway........let's not forget that we had fighters calling other fighters "cheats" for coming in a couple pounds over the limit and everybody crying foul and saying it makes a big difference........
so here you have fighters outweigh others by 30-40 pounds and there is nothing they can do....... -
I agree but maybe like as you go up in height you go up in weight e.g
7 foot - 330
6'11 -
6'10
6'9
6'8
6'7
6'6
6'5
6'4
6'3
6'2
6'1 -
6 foot - 220-240
under 6 - 220 max
Know what I mean??? Or like body fat% should be under a certain number!Comment

it would't really be fair it would mean boxers with a height advantage would also have a weight advantage.
i think its up to the trainers and the boxers heavyweights don't seem as dedicated as they used to be. most of the top ten are flabby.
in the past fighters would always get as light as possible for the fight but now they seem to prefer to have a spare tire or threeComment

****...the weigh-in's would be ridiculous.
i don't think height should come into it...after all you can have differences of several inches in the lower weight categories (e.g david haye vs fraggomeni saw a 6 inch height difference at cruiserweight)Comment
