    Ricky Wins By UD

ricky hatton beat juan urango by unanimous decision to win back his old IBF jr welter title.

scores are all 119-109, my scorecard was identical.

urango's a moron. at the end of every round, he would hold up his hands like he won the round. at the end of the fight, he ran around the ring like he thought he won, despite only winning one round. that like james toney kinda ******.

for the first 7-8 rounds, hatton looked fantastic. he was jabbing, moving, throwing great combos, and urango wasnt doing ****. but in the later rounds, hatton started slowing down and used a jab-and-grab kinda style. i counted a ruiz-like 33 clinches in the last two rounds alone.

but other than that, hatton looked great, got back his old title, and showed hes still a p4per. urango was dangerous, but hes not good. in fact, urango sux, but it was a good win for ricky.

his legs went for sure. i'm not sure if it's because he is coming back down in weight or if his out of the ring antics are finally taking their toll.

I've never been a huge fan of Hattn because of his constant fouling, which seems to have disappeared in this fight. That, though, isn't what upped my respect for him. I liked the fat that he said, "I'm a fattie".

I didn't think the fight was that impressive, and I was not impressed at all with Castillo's performance (I had it 115-113 Ngoudjo, but can't argue with the other way), but if Hatton fights like he did tonight against castillo he's gonna get killed.

Ricky Hatton should have been penalized 119 points for clinching IMO.

well....im new into boxing, and i know very few, but im impressed of the difference of opinion from the comentators of the tv and the guys here.

the tv guys said that the 119-109 was a shame to boxing, that the match was preety much close to any of the two, but here all agree that hatton won easily :S

well, on my point of view it was also a close match and hattons win is correct but not with that huge difference, but thats me, and i still need to see more boxing yet =P

This was the guy who wants to conquer America???....fighting an unknown stiff,I was bored to tears.I have seen Hatton 3 times now...what is all the fuss about???

He had best stay with his bum of the month club...and not even dream of getting in the ring with Floyd Mayweather.Actually Castillo probably whips his ass.

The first four rounds, Hatton looked like an incredible fighter, anyone who debates that point is just hating him for the sake of hate, and can't discuss him rationally. However, he did appear to be bothered by Urango's body shots, and coasted over the final few rounds. I have only seen Hatton fight twice, against Collazo and Urango, and both times he faded late. Overall it was an impressive performance tonight, he won practically every round, but against Collazo, Mayweather, or Cotto, he will have to be able to substain the attack he showed he was capable of early in the fight to have a chance to win.
