Who has seen thier trilogy? From what i've heard, esteban was a very good fighter and he gave duran all he could handle.

De Jesus was a very skilled boxer. He beat Duran the first time they fought, knocking him down too. That would be Duran's only loss until he rematched with SRL. He was 73-1 going into the 2nd fight with Leonard.Comment

Have seen the second bout between these two.
De Jesus very skilled - dropped Duran early and was winning the fight till the mid-rounds.
However, he only came to Panama a couple of days before the bout, & the heat was brutal.
He started to fade under a combination of the heat & Duran's pressure, & was stopped, mainly due to exhaustion.
From what I know of him, drugs & bad management finished his career way too early.Comment

dejesus was the man had lots of heart and skill fights 2 and 3 are spectaular, duran had mad respect for dejesus, when estaban was dying of aids duran flew to pr to see him grabed him and said youll always be my champion, every one esle was scared to touch him cause he had aids, back in the 80 aids wasnt that known about in the 80'sComment
