I wouldn't ever want him to move up at 147. If Hatton lost to someone like Mayweather then Mayweather would never get credit because everyone would be saying "Hatton was already exposed at 147 so its not suprising that Mayweather beat him".

He should just try to unify at 140.

It was a bit disappointing when he didn't give Collazo the rematch, I think if he had of given him the rematch and won more convincingly second time around, it would have shaken this monkey he still has on his back from the critics.

He just needs big fights regardless of the weight.

Fights for Hatton with Castillo and Mayweather in Vegas this year, regardless of weight would be the ****.

I just hope Mayweather comes through against Oscar!

Hatton has to got to change his promoter because frankly Frank Warren is going around doing nothing but protecting him it like like Rocky 3 thing
Frank Warren hasn't been Rick's promoter since the Kostya Tszyu fight.

t was a bit disappointing when he didn't give Collazo the rematch, I think if he had of given him the rematch and won more convincingly second time around, it would have shaken this monkey he still has on his back from the critics.
In an ideal world rematches would be given whenever justified. In this case however there was the question of money, contracts, and TV. HBO didn't approve a rematch and Collazo had no rematch clause in his contract so no rematch took place.

A rematch wouldn't have made much sense for Hatton anyway. For Collazo he would have been the recipent of another stellar payday. For Hatton it wouldn't have made sense.

"There are advantages, I can carry more muscle tissue and consume more protein and won't have to diet down towards the end of camp and all this allows you to punch harder and faster.

"I think certainly, against Collazo me punches from the shoulder were harder and faster than ever. The problem was I couldn't get me punches off quick enough from the foot because I didn't have long enough to grow into the new weight division so wasn't used to feeling so heavy on me feet after a few rounds.

"At the end of the day I won the world welterweight title on me debut in the division, first time headlining in America and against a quick, tricky southpaw champion and I did all this without having me usual spring in me step.

"I bruised Luis from head to toe with arm punches, so what if I'd had longer to grow into the division and was getting me punches off from the foot like I usually do?

"With long enough to prepare - and thats means not having to bulk up in just seven weeks - I think I could be even more effective fighting a Mayweather at welterweight than light-welter."

"I can't take anything away from Luis Collazo. He did what he had to do and showed he's got some tools.

"He had faster hands at times than any light-welterweight I've fought and he's a welterweight. So that's very impressive handspeed.

"To be honest with you, even if I had me usual spring in me step I wouldn't of got out of the way of some of those southpaw hooks because he threw them from the waist and I couldn't see them coming.

"All credit to Luis Collazo, and I honestly wouldn't be suprised if he got the better of 'Sugar' Shane Mosley next month."
