Sugar Ray Leonard GUARANTEES Mora victory over Taylor

During a broadcast of Friday Night Fights on ESPN; Sugar Ray Leonard guaranteed a Sergio Mora victory over Jermain Taylor to host Brian Kenny.

Kenny paused and asked Ray for clarification - and Ray again emphatically claimed that Sergio Mora would defeat Jermain Taylor if they fought.

I mentioned this another thread. What's up with this???

That's Leonard bigging up his TV program. At the end of the day he's not gonna say that his boy is gonna get beat, and once Taylor wins the fight not that many people are gonna remember what Leonard's said. And even if they do, chances are they won't care.

I could have mistaken it for that. But, Kenny challenged him a little bit and was quite incredulous.

Ray made it a point to disclaim his association with Mora and say that he believed Mora could beat Taylor straight up.

He was really emphatic and seemed to be giving a true analysis of the outcome.

It could be a case of promotion - but it sure did not come off that way.

Yes I do, I think stylistically Taylor was a tough match for Hopkins, and I thought Winky clearly won their fight.

i see it going either way but jermain difently the stronger guy mora is a sneaky guy and might be able to keep out of harms way......but mora is a tough guy.....i forgot who it was i saw him fight last year but the guy had a height advntage like by 5 inches or more if im correct and mora was more than willing to trade and even try to bully the guy........alota heart .......i dont know but Jermaine is in a whole other class of fighter than that other dude

Leonard should join the Taebo team. He's as credible now as Billy Blanks stating that JT was going to finish Peter.
