How ****ing cool would that have been to have had Tyson instead of Tarver!? Dumb move in my opinion. Would have made more at the box office, and Tyson would have been just as good as Tarver!!

Tarver does not mumble and a good talker aand thinks better.

Tyson is psycho and could turn into a real fight for God damnt he wanted to fight a Gorrialla

          People...

Tyson is OLD and looks OLD!!!!

The whole points of Dixon was to play a YOUNG champ that no one likes.
That's really Tarver.... I don't think anyone likes him other than "tarver is my dad" (who doesn't post anymore)

People LOVE Tyson.. and it wouldn't have been the same effect in the movie.

You don't want people cheering for Tyson!
"Come on Mike.. get him.. get him!"

The Character had to be Bigger, disliked in real life, known to be a loud mouth, and finally Bigger, to make the fight more competitive!

Tarver was a great pick for the job!

                Right on the money here.
At least we remember Rocky Balboa not Mason Dixon.
We think of Stallone not Antonio Tarver.
If Tyson played the role it would have just been to much. It would have erased the whole Balboa thing...know what I mean ?

For real. I'm in no rush to see a movie with Tarver, but Tyson is a real boxing legacy who would've brought instant infamy and interest to the movie. With Tarver, it makes the movie seem very fake.

I pretty much agree with you guys.
And i understand Stallone's fear if he would have Rocky-fought Tyson, that it may have become ugly etc. But what the hell was up with Sly saying ''get that son of a ***** out of there, he would kill me''. Goofy ass fool.

I think it would've been a better movie. Tyson is a much more convincing HW than Tarver who just gained a little weight and not all muscle. Tyson was built in product, his whole persona is bad ass and it would've been easier for viewers to accept Stallone as the underdog protagonist.
