I can still remember Maskaev's blank eyes after Oliver McCall landed on his head.

Maskaev is the weakest among all the champs. I think Holyfield has a chance againts him and Peter will most likely KO him.

I think Vitali and MaCall are the only two HW champs who have never been KD in a ring during their professional boxing careers.


My view of Maskaev really improved after I've seen his fight with Tua (available on youtube)

He has decent skills, an OK beard, and packs a good punch.
He is not amazing, but by far not the worst champion in the history of boxing.

If anything, he is VERY underrated.

the way McCall dispatches him and to think that McCall didnt have everything in that shot ala Tarver over Jones makes me think that thats not an OK beard.

He only got Rahman's number thats it. and i said he's the worst among the 4 current champions not in history coz he's better than ruiz imo.

Dude, that was in Maskaev's 5th pro fight! I could see you basing his chin on how he crumbled against Sanders and Goofi Whitaker but the Bull was champ at one time. Maskaev has a lot more confidence now and has taken some big shots lately and stood up to them fine. Don't underestimate him because he has shown great improvement.
