      This is just ******

Anyone who is willing to pay for this fight will already buy it regardless.
You mean to tell me that if Sr is there you will buy it and if it's someone else in his corner you won't?

IMO it will not add up to evan 1% in change variation
I was exaggerating, but I think it will hurt the fight's mainstream appeal. I'd buy it no matter who was in the corner, but let's face it, the mainstream push this fight will get from ESPN and the like is going to boost buys significantly. How many sports fans even KNEW about fights like Mayweather-Baldomir and other recent PPVs?

I say B-Hop and Sugar Shane should train him. Get some young blood (4 trainers standards) in there. It's a new concept; they're already business partners. The trust is there. I think the three of them could easily prepare a plan to beat the Pretty Boring Boy.

I agree that it will affect the promotion of the fight. If Sr trains Oscar, even people that don't watch boxing will want to see the fight, for the pure drama. When has this ever happened in boxing. It's a story that sells. For that alone, Sr should get his 2 Mil; plus it's his son. The only thing is can you trust him to train you right. I say pay him 1 Mil up front the 1 Mil if he wins.

There was also plenty of video going around with Floyd Sr. begging for a fight between Oscar and his son to never happen. He said he would never be part of such a fight and would discourage Oscar from fighting him. There is also tons of coverage of Oscar saying that he would NEVER fight Floyd Jr. because of the respect he has for Floyd Sr.

Until there is an official press release from Golden Boy that says __________ is training De La Hoya, then I will believe it.

I don't know. B-Talk is the most reliable boxing site out there. If my man G. Leon reports it, its usually fact.

I can name off about 1000 things reported there that wasnt fact because the fighter or promoter was using the site to swerve the press.

Oscar should employ Alcazar again. Floyd Sr could not get Oscar to win a decision against Shane (a speed fighter). He won't be able to do it against his own son. Jr will know what his father will have Oscar doing in preparations for the fight. Oscar needs a new mind in there with new ideas, something Jr will not be expecting. I do agree that Sr training Oscar adds drama to the promotion and may sell the fight better, but I don't think it will benefit Oscar any more than if he brought in a new mindset as a trainer. Oscar has the tools and experience, he just needs someone to guide and focus him during preps and in between rounds. Sr has been good at this. I don't know, maybe Trinidad Sr. could be the man. Maybe Sr should co-train Jr along with Roger, what a sell would that be. All the Mayweathers against Oscar. They're all looking to get a payday with Oscar anyway you look at it. The Mayweathers will be laughing all the way to the bank after this one.
