To be fair I cant recall where he has ever techinclly said that himself, although he is clearly in support of that claim, because it leads to big fights and big $.

I dont remember him hurting Cotto....

However, alot of the hate is because of his mentally handicapped promoter and a few posters on this board who deny logic and reason and civil arguments in their support for Tony.
I respect that! and I know what your talking about when you mention them dilusional posters, but when you think about it, just about every fighter has these kind of fans. I think alot of these fans talk like that because theyre new to the game and havent had their hearth broken yet, i been following boxing for a while now and ill be the 1st to tell you that i had my hearth broken a couple times. This is boxing every one loses sooner or later.

Or more realistically, just stops him early, within four rounds.

Hey I respect Cotto, he's a warrior who comes to close the show, but Margarito is one of my favorites and the stink of hate over this guy is becoming overwhelming.

Some guys spend more energy bringing down fighters they dislike than supporting the ones they're fans of.

I think it'd be funny if MArgarito got crushed...since there has been a lot of people for a LONG time now claiming Cotto would be exposed "any day now".

I agree with your last statement.

Mark my words bro, this fight is gonna play out like the Bazan-Cotto or Maussa-Cotto fights. That's what Cotto does to taller, lankier power punchers, they're tailor made for him. Also remember how Lujan who has a similar style to Cotto but not his power nor stamina, was able to hang in the pocket and get at Margarito a few rounds until he got tired. Hurt by Malignaggi and Quintana? I saw Margarito buckled a few times against Clottey, he was very lucky Clottey got tired and also hurt his hands other wise the out come would've been different. I got lots of respect for Tony, but he's starting to look weight drained and he knows it, the same confident Tony would've fought Williams in a heart beat. I give you that, on June he won't be at his best against Cotto.

                Right on.

I think Cotto is too well balanced now...he just has too much in his arsenal for Margarito to handle. He's going to hit Margarito A LOT...moreso than MArgarito will hit him and you can bet that.

Tony will have to land something right on the button as Cotto is coming in to get him. I don't think Miguel will fall for it. That long torso will be eaten up by the most heavy handed guy south of 154.

Ya know, anything is possible. 2 big punchers. I for one don't think Cotto will go down or out for the count based on his pride. He took bombs from Torres at 140lbs where his chin was supposely weaker. He looked stronger and more confident against an equally strong Quintana at 147lbs. If what was true about him being just weaker at 140lbs and that's what caused his more fragile state, then he could indeed be a monster at 147lbs. Let's face it, Cotto with a chin is frightening. How many times does a guy quit based on his arms hurting from being punched so much? Cotto's pride will pull him through the fight.

i like margarito, but i think in his last fight it does look like it's getting harder for him to make the weight. i think he should move up to 154, sooner, not later, maybe right after this fight. i know it won't happen because of the haters, but i think tony deserves some respect for taking what everybody knows is gonna be a tough fight... and right after being in a tough fight

Not as funny as Cotto doing the same thing to "The most feared welterweight of the history of bla bla bla..."
