Paul Williams vs. Cory Spinks @ 154, Who Wins?

williams seems to be the odd man out at 147 right now, the division is packed with name fighters who would rather fight each other than risk a fight against an unknown commodity, .... at his height i think he wll transition naturally to 154 at some point anyhow.... so why not now??

really spinks left 147 for the same reasons, he couldnt land, but more importantly, couldnt beat, the big names there.... spinks didnt have power at 147 and has none whatsoever at 154 obviously but he saw a chance and took it..... he saw a 154 pound champ (karmazin) who he knew he could outbox and steal a title from.... which he did...

williams would beat spinks handily IMO in a fight at 154, williams could probably get himself ranked to qualify for an optional defense... should he consider a move like this seeing that mayweather, margarito, cotto dont appear to have any intention of fighting him at 147????

its going to be later than sooner if things keep up the way they are going now. top contenders arent going to fight him if they have any good alternative.

I think not! theirs going to be a big name that will loose and then he'll take on a top up in comer like Williams to redeem themselves. Or pull a Mosley they wont be no big names out their so theyll fight the next big thing.

If they fought Paul Williams would be chasing Spinks around. Two different styles Spinks could box and move around the ring. Paul doesn't really move around the ring he just comes at you.

karmazin was much slower and more of a hard charger than williams and eventually he broke spinks down, if you saw that fight you know that if it went another round or two spinks was going to be knocked down or out...

williams is too tall and has too long of a jab himself for spinks to potshot him all day long like he did to roman....

i dont think that williams would dominate but he wouldnt let spinks win the first 6 rounds like karmazin did.. and he would be able to keep the pressure on spinks down the stretch... williams by UD

To get Spinks, I would think you have to corner him. I think it's way too early to be asking whether Williams can get to Spinks. There are too many other questions surrounding him.

Yeah Spinks was content with winning 7 rounds that night. He boxed well early on if I remember but what happened was he fatigued? His corner guy was funny. He couldn't get the water bottle to work and then he was "What the **** someone get another damn water bottle" it was hilarious.

corey spinks is probably the most under rated fighter in boxing right now....not so much style wise but personality wise being under rated he kinda reminds me hopkins...makeing his name on espn over the mid to late 90s before busting onto the scene with the trinidad win

eventually spinks could get that big win
