Yea but thanks to these SKILLS ALOT of people have stoped watching boxing and its not as popular as it use to be, The problem is that some fighters are so concern to get that W that they forget about the fans.

I think getting the W should be the priority for the fighter, not trying to be exciting and taking unnecessary risks.

thats cool everyone has their own opinion, But thats why Ali is the greatest of all time because he had the skills to beat anybody but he also cared for the fans so he made it exciting.

Oh shut the **** up nuthugger. Floyd has had three succesfull PPV cards, what has Tony had? Are you implying that Tony's style is more exciting to watch than Floyds? And if so, does that mean that more people know who Tony is than Floyd? You sure talk a lot of ****.

Then why was Willie Pep a popular fighter when he fought similarly to Mayweather and Whitaker?

Uh Ali only clowned around when he knew the fight was his. And he still didn't take that many risks unless you count shuffling your feet as exciting and risky. I think Mayweather dropping his gloves and patting his chin in front of Zab was risky, considering how hard Judah hits. But if you're talking about going in and mindlessly slugging as guys like Margarito do, then yeah, I guess I could see how you don't like guys that win the way you're trained to.

Margarito getting stripped is just culmination of a year of ducking Williams. Williams has been the mandatory since the beginning of 2006. Margarito took a voluntary fight with Gomez and got an exemption to fight another optional defense against Clottey after that...
