Tomasz Adamek-Joe Calzaghe

With all the talk about Calzaghe wanting to move light heavyweight and facing Hopkins, why not face a true threat at the weight: Tomasz Adamek. I think this is fight can be made because both fighters are known by HBO and it is good for the sport. I would have to favor the Polish boxer-puncher in this contest but would not be shocked if Calzaghe would makes this an incredibly close affair. What do you guys think of this fight?

adamek is a good fighter but nothin special, all he did was had 2 wars with a complete bum wit no skills in briggs.

Well... If you believe that Briggs is a bum, then I can't argue with your decision but considering Adamek average is not correct. He is strong fighter with solid boxing ability and a good chin. He is good defensive skills and can really punch with both fists. I'm not saying he is an awesome boxer, but he has a lot of tools and knows how to use his strenghts.

Calzaghe deserves the big American paydays more than anybody, why mess about with pointless European's now? You get legacy by beating top American's in America. Calzaghe is cementing his legacy against the Taylor's and Hopkins's.

I watch a lot of boxing, and I don't think he's been on British TV. Neither has this Kessler guy.

He's fought on HBO in two consecutive defenses of his title. He is a Polish boxer based out of Chicago and has a huge following in his area. His next fight is going to be televised on Showtime. His name is growing.

I agree. The guy has some good skills and can really punch. Don't know if that is enough to beat Calzaghe, but I would favor Adamek in the fight due to youth, power and natural size.
