Sorry man but Kellerman??? That guy really sucks... Merchant, although I don't particularly like him either, is still the best wingman... Kellerman just seems like he trys too hard...
Nah, I like Kellerman lots. Sometimes, he can get a bit too hyped on a fighter, but the kid has passion for the sport and I'd rather have someone as passionate as he, than Merchant, who at this point doesnt like anybody who wins a fight.
Yeah you know, I guess the only complaint you can have against Kellerman is he's young. When he tries to talk like he's an old timer, it's kinda odd. Larry you know, he knows his **** as far as the history of fighters go. Even though he doesn't make sense 90% of the time, you can't help but respect the old geezer for still breathing and knowing his history like no other. In the long run the fact that he can be an ******* is based on his age. No matter how rich he may be, I'm sure he ain't gettin ***** at night. That makes a lot of seniors mad.
I know a lot of people disagree with me on this, but Kellerman just has that "public access" vibe to him. It's still odd to me to see him on HBO, he fit ESPN better, just because the sportscasters on ESPN are soooo cheesefunk and artificially hyper and upbeat.... and that's Kellerman, like he tries too hard. To me, he cheapens the show a little.
He usually has good observations and it's not like I dislike the guy, but he will never have the presence of a Larry Merchant, old and drunk as he is these days. I know they are grooming Kellerman for that position, but I hope it's awhile yet, and that someone else emerges before Larry decides to retire.
To make the long story short, Larry MErchant >>>>>>>>>>> All of you.
Merchant is the man that is not afraid to talk **** to no one, remember the Floyd interview?
