Thomas Ulrich vs Rachid Kanfouah Today

Light heavyweight Thomas Ulrich (29-3, 19 KOs) takes on Rachid Kanfouah (27-5, 22 KOs) for both the vacant European and Kanfouah's WBO intercontinental belts. The 31-year-old Ulrich, who was defeated in a world title bid against Zsolt Erdei in his last fight stated, "I'm happy to be here with the great fans in Halle. I am highly motivated and would like to get a third shot at a world title belt in the near future. I have learned a lot from the loss to Zsolt. However, Kanfouah is a serious opponent who can punch hard."

Frenchman Kanfouah was very respectful, commented "Thomas is the favorite in the fight. He not only has an impressive record, but he's boxing in front of his countrymen. For me, it's a big honor to step up to face him."

Ulrich is brilliant with his defensivestyle "blocking everything with ya head"
If the frenchman has a good handspeed, i give him a chance, but i haven't seen anything from hin. Against Erdei he saw 3 of 200 jabs coming
