Funny you say that because you are not in that camp, I don't think. Some fans just prefer punchers. RWK is one of them. Other good posters among them include Achilles and Raesaad. I respect all three, as well as some of the others. But the Miranda-hype is catered to those tendencies in a boxing fan.

I would have to believe that the people IN the business of boxing would have some knowledge of how to watch a fight a decide who they think won and what actions happened that were inappropriate. It's not like one or two of people had a problem. As a matter of fact EVERY person I know in boxing thought it was pure robbery on this side of the pond except for Gram Houston (a Canadian) who thought it was close but Abraham did enough to win with the point deductions.

I really think it comes down to how Americans score fights compared to how Europeans score fights. Sounds funny, but it the only rational explantation I can come up with as to why people are so split over this fight.

Like I ALREADY SAID, I WASN'T saying he didn't get preferential treatment in Germany, just observing the FACTS.

Maybe a little pedantic of me under the circumstances, but....

Yeah and realistically, you'll never see bias from me outside of something that has nothing to do with boxing. I watched the fight in discussion over again yesterday and can't see how people were scoring rounds for Abraham. I just don't see it. He was running away and clinching most of the fight.

I've only watched once, like on the day after the fight. If I remember correctly he won three of the first four, and then two more later around like 8 and 10. Don't forget he only needed four rounds b/c the deductions were five points. I agree he did little, but I though he got at least four rounds. Also give him the benefit of the doubt: he knew he was ahead by about five or six points after the head butt in round five, and he did what he needed.

On the other hand Miranda was aggressive but inaccurate. I'll admit he looked scary in this last fight, but I am afraid to buy in and be fooled when I think the right fighter would completely embarass him. Imagine Miranda-Winky, or Miranda-Calzaghe, if you can't picture Abraham winning the rematch.

I can well picture Abraham taking over in the second half of the fight and forcing the stoppage after spending the first half in his Winkyesque style. It's just a shame the broken jaw (which was said to be a freak accident?) put a stop to that.

                  "Europe" numbers TWENTY-SEVEN seperate countries.

Here's another suggestion... instead of "europeans" having a collective view, maybe... JUST MAYBE...

... a lot of American boxing fans talk complete ****?

A crazy notion I know, but...

Abraham has no stamina after 5 rounds. Broken jaw or not, he would be running as usual.

He can run for 7 rounds with no stamina? Wow, that's some crazy ****.
