Nah that's not true. While the public is a major factor it's the fighter themselves who decides if they want to be a piece of bum **** or not. If a fighter keeps winning fights and makes it through career defining fights against big names there's no way anybody would think they're a piece of bum ****. Infact even if these fighters don't win all their fights for as long as they have skills and they bring excitement inside the ring they still can't be regarded as bums.Comment

How about people like Aaron Pryor???
Ignored for pretty much all of his career, dodged by the top fighters at Lightweight, consistently disregarded by all the people that mattered in boxing, he just kept winning & winning.
Now he's in the H.O.F.Comment

To an extent you are correct. Boxing mainstream works eerily similiar to pop culture...the press will bring you up if they like you, but once you **** up, they will bring you down to the lowest of low. it is the same with boxing.
Fighters are responsible for themselves, however. If a fighter chooses to fight a HOF route, he will be rewarded so even if he didn't win and stay undefeated during his prime title reign.Comment
