So uh...what the **** happened in this fight? I just watched some of the highlights for it as I read that Miranda was getting points taken off left and right it was unreal with the deductions, but what do you all think of it? Sorry bout bringing up something this old, but it's very interesting to me. I also read according to Pantera's website there is suppose to be a mandatory rematch between the two, due to Abraham was suppose to be TKO'd in the 5th any truth to this?

Yeah ive heard there's gonna be a rematch, and there should be. But fair play to Abraham to get through, his face was a mess. My gf couldnt even look at the picture! His jaw was up by his ear. But Pantera is one hell of a fighter, and 5 point deductions were too much -
Pantera's life is most perfect for some sorta underdog story literally.Yeah ive heard there's gonna be a rematch, and there should be. But fair play to Abraham to get through, his face was a mess. It was a pretty controversial fight, with the point deductions aside i had it 115-114 for abraham, but miranda was the aggressor throughout and some judges may have given him more rounds as a result. Abraham was landing good clean punches in short bursts and had miranda hurt a few times, but towards the end(rounds 10-11) he was just hanging on.
As for the point deductions, the two points for the headbutt were warranted because it was clearly intentional, regardless of whther it caused any damage. The deduction for the low blow in the 7th was also a good call but the two after that were pretty dubious, particularly the one in the 11th. The fight left alot of unanswered questions and it's hard to tell who the better fighter i from what went on that night. A re-match should definitely happen.Comment
