Ezzard Charles is the best ever P4P

Ezzard is by far the best fighter that ever lived. Ali says ray robinson is the best and now we agree with him, i dont think so. Ezzard has the best resume i have ever seen.

Middleweight: burley x2 (the guy that robinson ducked by the way)
Light Heavyweight: moore x3, maxim x5, bivins x3
Heavyweight: kicked the living crap out of joe louis, walcott x2, defended the belt 8 times and he's a middleweight for christ's sakes.

He is the best, there is nothing bad i can say about this guy. 15 out of his 25 losses came when he was completely shot, remember homicide hank lost alot too, so if you're gonna downplay his 25 losses, just look at homicide hank.

ezzard is definetely top 5 p4p, but he isnt number 1 or 2, those r reserved for henry armstrong and sugar ray robinson, ezzard was great but he didnt fight at multiple weight divsions professionally to be considered p4p, he only fight heavy and light heavy.....but ill admit he defended the hw championship belt after he got it at a really fast pace..up until wallcot for the what?...2nd or 3rd time b4 getting surprised

Ezzard you are the best light heavyweight that ever lived, rest in peace buddy. The fight where he knocks archie moore out will live on forever. I will always remember him exposing that overrated joe louis and making a complete fool out of him. Pure dominace, god it was worse than the beating norris gave leonard.

Charles is in my top 5 pound for pound. Even though theres no real footage of him at LHW (or at least none that I am aware of) he was said to be a complete fighter at that weight. I wish I could have seen him in action during his prime.

Charles was a beast though...the guy never lost a fight in his prime.

Imagine if ezzard was given a shot at the middleweight title after he destroyed burley. Imagine if he was given a shot at the 175 title after he crushed moore, maxim, bivins and all those other guys. He could have had the #1 or #2 p4p spot for sure. Either way he was a nautral middleweight that defended the heavyweight title 9 times and he won the belt off joe louis by completely embarassing him. He should rival henry armstrong at least.

Louis was well past his prime. Why do you keep stating his defeat of Louis like it was any indication as to how he'd do against a prime Joe?

BTW I completely agree that Charles is underrated and is arguably as good as Robinson at least, P4P. But you're wrong about Louis.

anyone can make excuses, the fact that he lost to a much smaller fighter by complete domination means something. Its like saying tunney beating dempsey means jack ****, lol that is tunney's entire rep.
