Although having the movie take place during those two bouts is very interesting, I would love to see him atleast show what happend after Louis retired. Wasnt he eventually broke and blind?

          Can't help but agree.

I heard this news several months back in the Hollywood trades.

Terrence Howard is a wuss if you ask me. I know they need a semi-name actor to pull these things off; but I just can't see Howard as the Bomber.

I was very dissapointed to hear he was playing lead.

But they can surprise with these things...

Fox Sports is reporting that Lee will follow up the Louis movie with one about Calzaghe.

Spkie is really rolling his sleaves up good to hear!

Not offhand - I'm with you R1. They're aren't many actors who fit the bill.

Maybe Jeff Wright; but I don't think he's big enough, or athletic enough.

Howard won the role by default, he may also have been Lee's inspiration to greenlight the project because he's been hot lately.

But damn, Howard is a girly man..
