Many people overrate Augustus, some idiots even think he could beat the likes of Hatton, Witter, M'Baye. Some other underrate him, as he'd give any sub top 10 fighter a good fight, might even win.

Augustus is this generations Freddie Pendleton. Very skilled fighter who has a bunch of losses (some suspect) but can give the top guys a run for their money.

He certainly isn't as good as Pendleton was, but similar situation.

A really skilled fighter, a black ***ish guy named Anthony 'The Messenger' Thompson is also on the card. This guy is solid and could make a lot of noise at 154 if he fights more often. His dedication is questioned though...he has made statements that would lead one to believe he is not a big fan of the violence in fighting.

How is Augustus overrated? People do not see him as a top 5 guy, and he certainly is not on anyone's p4p list. People simply like him for being a warrior, making for good fights, and his entertaining antics. I think most people understand he could very well lose this fight.

Augustus is popular with folks who have seen him fight merely because he is entertaining, not because they think he's awesome.

A lot of his losses are a joke, and many of his losses I am sure people did not see to be able to judge for themselves.
