Following Mike Tyson's arrest for DUI and subsequent felony
charge for possession a week ago, his former trainer
Kevin Rooney is also facing serious felony charges of his own.

According to the Daily Freeman, Rooney was re-indicted last
Wednesday by a grand jury for felony DWI and a felony charge
of aggravated unlicensed driving (driving while intoxicated after
your license has already been revoked for DWI).
Last April, Rooney was pulled over and arrested in
Coxsackie, NY with a blood alcohol level of more than .10%, and
was eventually indicted in August after two of Greene County's
judges recused themselves from the case. Yet that indictment
was thrown out in December by a visiting judge because
a member of the grand jury knew Rooney.
District Attorney, Terry Wilhelm told the Daily Freeman that Rooney
will be arraigned on the new charges and the "process will begin again."
If convicted, the 50-year-old trainer could land in state prison for a
period of 1½ to 4 years. Also, according to an article on
TimesUnion.com last month, Rooney has blown the millions he
earned in boxing on ******** and bad investments and a federal
tax lien has been placed on his home in Catskill, NY. With a history
of DWI and alcohol related offenses, Rooney eventually served time
in 2004 when he was sentenced to 9 months in Catskill's
Greene County jail for disorderly conduct and violating probation.
The disorderly conduct charge was levied against Rooney
for public urination - while he was on probation for a previous
DWI conviction (and his license revoked) in Albany.
