How shot is Roy Jones Jr.

Jones will be back this year no doubt, The problem with Jones is that he is too damn good the guy is a phenomenon and because of his greatness he doesnt really get up for the fights with Antonio Tarver and Glencoffe Johnson etc . The reason why I say he will be back is because if the fight with Hopkins does happen there is no dount in my mind that Jones will stream roll him and possible win the fight by Tko

I voted 65% shot. He's looked horrible since the first Tarver fight IMO. I'm not sure if it's the result of endless weight gain and subsequent weight loss or simply that he's become so complacent in believing that he's the best fighter ever that he's lost any desire to compete to win at this point in his career.

After his next fight I hope he retires, I don't care who he fights. I know Hopkins is a big payday for him and I'd love to see the fight but Hopkins is still in his prime IMO. If Jones fights him he'll get a serious ass-kicking.

i think he should go abit back to basic and try to to make something new but i dont know in this age but he still could beat couple good contenders even some belts holders

He might not be THAT shot physically. He has problems mentally though. In the third Tarver fight he looke scared.

Roy is still a top 10 guy at 175, but that will fade if he never fights. He has been very inactive, which kills an older fighter because they are only going to age more and more. They need to get as many fights in as possible before they really suck.

Jones could possibly work himself to beat even the best at 175 (Adamek, Dawson) but it would be shaky.

How 'shot' is he? Shot enough that I would not be able to decisively pick him to beat Ruiz or Woods in rematches.

I put 75% shot.......because he looked scared to get hit against Tarver and that Prince dude at first anyway.He still got good speed and skills but he just appears afraid to get hit after his two devastating KO losses.I dod give him credit tho it took balls for him to get back in there with Tarver after those 2 Kos.
