I'd love to see him fight Klit, lets hope the alpha bodies don't go off on a hissy fit coz they want the mandatories to be number 1 priority.

this fight has to happen, hope it does, I think Wlad would win, without a doubt.

Maskaev must be looking for one last good payday - he knows that he's done vs. either Peter or Klitschko so he is looking to get more $ in Russia with Klitschko.

If he really wants Wlad, he'll drop the belt to face him. Unification means little when there's still 2 major belts out there and hurdles to scheduling those champions too...

I'm on the other side on this one... I think that the WBC should honor its title shot to Sam Peter since he has fought twice to earn this title shot. Maskaev and his promoters should have set this fight up last year instead of fighting journeyman Peter Okhello.

looks like peter is trying to take the easy route to maskeav instead of just waiting a bit longer for a chance to both avenge a loss and win a unified belt instead of just one. oh well

Dropping the belt? I'm not so sure about it
