    Lewis/Mercer and Iceman

...Just watched the Lewis/Mercer fight from 1996 on ESPN classic. I forgot how good that fight was. They really slugged it out. Iceman Scully was the commentator and did a damn fine job. I wonder why he doesn't commentate any more? He certainly has enough knowledge and is extremely articulate. As a commentator he's far better than Max Kellerman or some of these other guys we have been served up on BAD.

I wouldn't call John Scully extremely articulate but he is helluva lot better then folks like Max Kellerman, Bobby Czyz, Lennox Lewis, Roy Jones etc. I do enjoy Scully's segments on ESPN's FNF...he does a great job instead of that mumbling moron Atlas and his sideshow sidekick.

I like Teddy Atlas it's Scott LeDoux I can't stand. Whenever I hear his voice while watching an old fight I quickly change the channel.
