I hate to give red juice to someone who disagrees with me about a fight, but I had to this time. I couldn't help it.

"I thought Baldomir beat Mayweather, personally."

If you had said that I would have reacted about the same.

He was outboxed by Rahman, had a close fight with Jirov, had a close fight with Peter, and then lost another fight to Peter.

Toney has NOT performed well against a good boxer in many, many years.

            Any way... just a thought.
I think he beat Rahman & Peter the first time no question, & he kicked Jirov's ass. The thing with the second Peter fight is that Peter fought the perfect big mans fight, which is mainly why Toney looked so bad, he wasn't able to land as well as last time around, & since he came with no regard to speed & agility he lost the fight.

Toney was still great in 2003. He hasnt been the same since. His fight against Jirov is amazing. He still had the skills that fight. You cant look past his stay at super middle either where he put together a great performance against the bigger Prince Charles Williams. Especially the 12th round, where he took him apart with great accuracy.

He was at his all time worst against Rahman. I thought he lost, and got a gift.

Against Jirov he was landing the cleaner harder shots the whole fight. He was fighting in bursts & also landing the cleaner harder shot against Rahman & he beat Peter with the jab the first time around no question, that's how I saw them, what fights were you watching?

Edit: & with Jirov, at least according to the judges it wasn't an even fight, I had it alot closer then they did tho.

I would say his stamina was worst with Rahman, but he still fought hard & I had him winnning that fight by a few points.
