Word is Judah will return in April (as SoundTraveler said), but also on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights against the perennial challenger that is TBA. The card will be held at the DeSoto County Civic Center in Southaven, MS, just south of Memphis, TN.

This being a Prize Fight card, expect to see at least one of the Peterson brothers on ESPN2 again, perhaps both in more build-up action.

As for potential opponents, I predict someone along the lines of Miguel Gonzalez, who somehow is rated in the top 10 of three alphabets, and is #7 in the WBO above Judah who is at #10. He'd better crush him and quick if he wants to regain some momentum--I'm talking Cosme Rivera quick...

    Any other realistic opponent ideas?

No, he's not completely done. He is better than many fighters out there at 147 and should put his nose to the grindstone and go after some of the younger stars that are beginning to shine. He's still good enough to beat severl....and because of his speed, power, and, more importantly the unpredictability of his chin, any fight he gets into will be entertaining.

If he went down to 140, he would rule that division, there isn't much there anymore that should bother him except for maybe Hatton and Castillo.
lol, I always spit the truth man! Yeah I agree with that stuff, Hatton should beat him but I dont like that fight, Ive got visions of a super quick/lethal left cross droppin Ricky like fellow southpaw Magee only worse! But Id start Hatton favourite. Cotto should beat his ass bad but again its dangerous and i dont like it as a Cotto and Hatton fan!

Judah has fast hands and reflexes. I don't see him getting anywhere if he does not improve his defense. If he is going to be the same fighter he was (or is) he will never climb to the top. It seems like any good shot to the chin hurts Judah and thats no good. He should get another trainer and sharpen his defensive skills.

**** he is still a top boxer IMO.He knocked Floyd down and was doing very well the first 4 or 5 rounds against him.He could have easily beaten Baldomir if he had focused so I don't think he is a bad fighter or done by any means he is just menatlly weak and not disiplined enough...........Zab can still beat most guys at 140 or 147.....He would UD Hatton too IMO.

Judah would dominate 140 if he went back. Junior Witter is considered the best champion there and Judah took him to school.

At 147, Judah is still top 5. Physically he has the tools to beat anyone. Too bad for him 90% of this game is mental...

Judah could easily be the best welterweight if he dedicates himself to the sport again. Many forget he did have a knockdown against mayweather, however the referee did not see Mayweather's glove touch the canvas. I believe it was in the 2nd or 3rd round. If Judah would have extended his dominance for 3 more rounds in that fight, he would have had a draw at least (in my opinion).

Mayweather's win over Judah is so under appreciated, it's not even funny.

Judah is an ELITE boxer when his head is on straight.
