2 Sluggers going at it is always great to see. A boxer resorting to slugging when up against a heavy hitter is also a marvel to see to.

i like to watch all these types for several reasons:

puncher vs. puncher: this type of match-up is great because you got power vs. power, very exiciting to watch, a fight like this is a street fight. ex: George Foreman vs. Ron Lye, this is my favorite puncher vs. puncher fight, a true showing of power, with KD after KD. Great fight.

boxer vs. puncher: this match-up is my favorite of all of them, because the boxer outboxes the puncher, and the puncher tries to knockout the boxer with one shot. these type of fights turn inot classics. ex: the Ali-Frazier triliogy, with Ali being the boxer and Frazier being the puncher, they put on the greatest fights of all time, especially the third one which I consider the greatest fight of all time.

boxer vs. boxer: these match-ups are a classic examples of good technical boxing, because a boxer is known to use a technical fighting style. These type of match-ups are what boxing is really about IMO. ex: Holyfield-Lewis, two boxers, who showed great skills in their fights. Their fights were great.

Power vs. Speed: this type of match-up is fun to watch, becuase you got one guy circling the ring, and other trying to catch him with a bomb like punch. ex: Robinson-LaMatta fights, with Robinson having the speed and LaMatta having the power, they put on some of the greatest fights of all time. Robinson used his speed well in these fights, and LaMatta caught Robinson with some hard shots.

love all these match-ups equally, but if I had to choose I say boxer vs. puncher is my favorite.

Depends on the fighters involved a lot of the time.

Favourite is probably boxer VS puncher, but doesn't always guarentee a good fight. A good one coming up would be Israel Vasquez VS Rafael Marquez, which looks like a classic matchup, & is due to the quality of the opponents involved (also Marquez can also punch, which ads to things).
The bad ones involve the boxer carefully avoiding on the outside, with the occaisional quick jab, & the puncher too wary to commit to anything, or just too unskilled.

Puncher VS puncher can make for major excitement, but can occaisionally make for bloody awful fights, with both guys grabbing onto each other as much as possible, with wild, messy swings inbetween.
              Again, depends on the fighters.
Major one coming up would have to be Darchynian VS Arce, pure puncher VS puncher/brawler - looking forward to it immensely.

the lamotta robinson fights were more like the swarming pressure fighter agianst the crafty boxer... lamotta didnt have enough power to go looking for the one punch bombs
