A question for Iceman re: the Simms fight

    John,
no disrespect intended in this question. It's purely curiousity.

During the fight I noticed that Rivera was wearing ads for at least 3 differnt places on his gear, then changed into a tshirt from yet another advertizer.
How much money does this kind of sponsorship bring a fighter in a televised bout?
Are there different rates if the fight is not televised, and do they vary for what channel the fighter is on?

I don't begrudge anyone a nickel they make, but I've seen more and more of this advertizing on boxing and I'm worried that the trend will increase and soon it will be like watching NASCAR.

Yeah, then bet it on himself to win the fight, talk about confidence . What was funny was that in about 3 or 4 rounds that ad had disappeared.
