Sucks because Simms wasn't being a jackass...he was genuinely excited and rightfully so. I guess it's not the first time a respectable fighter has had goons in his entourage though (Bowes crew for example).

As for Rivera sorry about the loss and best of luck to him in the future. He is a great fighter and still has a lot of future ahead of him. I read Rivera's quotes after the fight and he doesnt seem discouraged. Picking the right oppenent for his next fight will be very important.

i remember hearing one of the broadcasters say as the cameras showed simms wife and that crazy ***** showing off their credentials ...

"looks as if travis simms wife and promotor is having some trouble making it into the ring... she is having to show her credentials..."

i knew that other ***** was crazy cause she was out there before the fight and i looked right at my brother and said..

"that security guy knows damn well who that ***** is and thats why he holding them up, all hell is gonna break lose when they get on TV"

that was my most accurate prediction of the night!


also, to simms credit, as said before, he seemed absolute class and i didnt wuite understand the contrast there....

he seemed annoyed at a certain point as he sorta got up in the camera and blocked her out.. he looked like Martin when he bout to smack Gina.

After the fight they were all walking up to the dressing rooms (Simms and Jose's were literally right next to each other) talking ****** trash the whole way.. when they passed a police officer she was like "you see that mister policeman? we whipped that *** and didn't even get in trouble for it" ... stuff like that. To their credit the Simms brothers cut her right off, yelled at her, told her "it's over, that stuff stays in the ring. it's over with i dont want to hear that anymore." I respected that A LOT.

i give you credit for not cutting her off yourself, maybe if you werent closer to the situation you could have had the pleasure of telling her to go straight to hell....

i have to say the "mister policeman" remark is downright hilarious in its ignorance....
