  • Dammit I'm pissed off(rant)

I just finished watching Toney-Peter 2 and I'm thinking to myself: Look at these fat tub of lards. Even though I'm a Toney fan, how can he expect to do anything as fat as he is. Whatever happened to being in shape? The days of Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe are long gone.

And don't even get me started on that peice of **** Peter. He's built like a brick **** house and if only he put a little effort into his weight management, there would be something worth watching with him. Instead he comes in fat and ugly and can't even impress me against a man 12 years older, 4 inches shorter and 15 pounds lighter. He slaps his punches and tires out after 1 min of the round.

This is so depressing. Boxing is in a big rut like it was in the late 70,s early 80's before Tyson came along. The only reason I'm standing behind Peter is because I want to see him beat the clumbsy, glass chin Kiltchko brothers.

I really hope something happens soon or else we're in trouble boys. MMA is going to wipe away boxing into thin air.

To be fair, an "in shape" Toney would be at around 215-220 at the most and heavyweights are too big now to be fighting at that weight.

              Joeytrimble:

Cooney? Are you Kidding me? A boxer that was hyped up for white fans only. We all know why the Holmes-Cooney fight was so popular.

Boys, my post was about the Heavyweights. Don't go mixing welterwieghts and midleweights in this. I'm a big boxing fan so there aint no **** comming out of my mouth.

Peter is going to look the same as he did last time against Kiltchko. People say they saw such an improvement with him. He faught a guy who can't hurt him and couldn't even land a decent combination. How the hell is he going to win against a natural heavyweight?

All I'm saying is go back to old school amd do some road work.

and i'd still take holmes vs cooney over the tyson fights ... that fight was exciteing!

I should of implied that I was talking about heavyweights. I truely think that without a decent heavyweight devision, boxing can't and won't move forward. It's slowly loosing it's appeal to the non boxing fan. Being an ex-amateur fighter, I understand what boxing is about and the science behind it so I'll always be a fan.

if you understood anything you'd know that the heavyweight division aint **** ..if it was and by your theory ..boxing should have died several times

boxing cannot ...and will not ...survive without its welter/middleweight divisions
