i think roy jones jr.'s power came from having insanely strong tendons and range of motion in the shoulders. he wasn't the type to load up completely from the legs on up the way you see punchers like joe louis and mike tyson. he had that spring-loaded type of power that comes straight from the shoulders, not unlike naseem hamed. in jones' prime, even his shoeshines had a lot of venom in them.
