    Rubin Williams v. Antwon Echols

How is it that no tv network picked up this fight? Williams gave a very good account of himself against Lacy and Echols well the Brewer and Hopkins fight speak for themselfs. To bad this fight aint on tv.

I'd watch this fight, too. I don't think the generic public or the casual boxing fan is too interestd, though...

Thats the problem. We boxing fans, know these fighters and know what they can do and they don't put this one on tv, thats depriving us of seeing what could be a all out war.

I don't know about that, Ferocity. Echols may well be shot as evidence from some of his performances of late. He has the punch as always, but I wouldn't expect him to beat Williams, if Williams is on point.

How has he done since the 2nd Hopkins fight? I havn't really heard anything from him in a while. I know or that i recall Williams was taking a rest from boxing for awhile.

Won some and lost some against decent opposition mostly. He didn't look good losing a decision to Anthony Mundine a while ago and more recently was knocked out by Kingsley Ikeke.

Fair fighters, but he shouldn't have lost to either of them. I acutally remember seeing Ikeke fight, he probably ran from Echols. And how the hell did Mundine beat Echols? He must have ran too. But props to Mundine i didn't think he'd make it as far as he has, he is an ex soccer player being able to compete at super middleweight, very surprising.

Ex-rugby player, my friend. I used to play rugby and I'd have a hard enough time boxing full time. I wouldn't fancy a soccer players chances

There was a rumor that Echols had major distractions before he fought Mundine. I think that he couldn't adjust to the schedule in Australia. Plus, Mundine isn't anything special but he isn't terrible either. He can certainly hit.
