I'll say In Jin Chi is the next toughest fighter Pacquiao could face outside of JMM and MAB today. A brawler with a granite chin and seasoned with experience. Yes tougher than Valero, Soto, Juarez or Guzman so this is a welcome development.

But I don't think this fight is already in the bag, not yet, since IBF has expressed their willingness to sanction a Pac fight with Klassen (their title holder).

It would be wiser for Pacquiao to pick up the IBF belt on a tune up match than to fight other fighters who has nothing to offer. Then later on maybe a unification fight with Valero before facing the winner of JMM/MAB fight?

I was hoping Pac would fight that Klassen guy who holds the WBA jr. lightweight belt.
Klassen holds the IBF, not WBA.

Anyone who thinks the weight is an issue is a fool. Pacman himself could have stayed at 126 if he so chose, and he used to fight as a flyweight. I doubt Chi has ever fought as low as Pacquiao has fought. Clearly, Chi is just as big as Pacquiao and will be very happy to not have to dehydrate to 126 lbs.

This move up will give Chi more energy and allow him to put up a good fight. But Chi is probably a bit worn by now and will not be able to pull out a victory. Pacquiao will get a TKO before 10 rounds.

In jin Chi is a better choice for Pac than the list of "cab drivers". He should not disrespect Valero as Valero is a real threat. Guzman and Soto should be the next in line for Pac.

Definitely. He has held two official titles before and getting the IBF 130 LBS title will officially install him as the first Asian to hold titles at three weight class.

He can just dump that title later if he doesn't want to pay the sanctioning fee for the defense. The IBF roster of challengers is a list of fighters who doesn't belong in his class anyway.
