toney was taking a beating against michael nunn and came through EVERY single punch that nunn hit him with. these were shots that were knocking out guys like sumbu kalambay in one blow.
toney took everything that roy jones hit him with and kept coming.
toney took haymakers on the button from guys like tim littles and reggie johnson and never stopped coming.
toney took everything that jirov hit him with (a devastating accumulation puncher in the past) and never flinched.
james toney JUST fought the hardest overall puncher in the sport and took every hard shot he threw. he fought a man who is naturally about 100 pounds bigger than he is....a man who put other 240 pound heavyweights on ***** street with the same punches. NOBODY has ever done that **** before and had the success toney had. i can think of mickey walker attempting to fight bigger guys like sharkey and schmeling...toy bulldog had a great beard but even he couldn't stand up to the assault from bigger fellas...AND THEY WERE NOWHERE NEAR PETERS SIZE!
his chin is incredible because it has been proven at every weight. there i just gave ya about 8 examples.Comment

See, I don't mean to insult anyone.. just asked for examples....
As I told you earlier.. I only started following Toney as of his Jirov fight at Cruiser and as I remember Jirov did land some crazy shots... punches that knocked Masi the fck down 3 times and took him out for some years..
I have to say that Toney was also not being Sturdy on his feet in the last round.. but it had to do a lot with exhaustion.. it was a great fight tooComment

He took Monsterous shots from Wlad throughout the fight...
He is one of 3 man who were able to go to distance with Wlad. One of whom was Byrd, who got KD and was really messed up... KOed in the second fight..
The only other guy to go to distance with Wlad was an an 8 rounder..
So other than Byrd, who went down in their first fight, Peter is THE ONLY guy to go full 12 rounds with Wlad and didn't get KD.
You mean to question his chin?

im not sayin toney has the best chin of all time but.....
Toney has been down very few times, he's been hit solidly by
Holyfield(ok an old holyfeild but still a good hitter at any weight)
Rock hit him suprisingly alot with his right hand in that fight
Jirvo had only went the full hall in 4 of his fights before toney, he knocked or tko'ed everyone else, and toney and jirvo took a beating in that fight, but toney changed that kids life in that fight never been the same.
Jones hit him alot, only went down once with his ****** copying roy jones ****

toney has fought some big punchers, hes said Barkley hits harder than peter cos peter dont no how to throw punches, but i dont think toney has a **** chin and i dnt think sam could knock him out, although he mite i dnt see it happeningComment
