Why didn't Arum let Pacquiao fight Barrera?

I've been in Miami all week for the Orange Bowl. Last I'd heard, Golden Boy gave Arum til Monday to sign the contract and Pacquiao and Arum didn't. It's not like they have another opponent so what gives? Very bad move because now Pacquiao looks like the coward when we all know that isn't the case.

Seriously, if I was Arum and I hated Golden Boy and Oscar, I'd totally let Pacquiao wipe out their stable of fighters. That's the closest he's allowed to come to punching Oscar himself so do it for crying out loud.

But I would think putting Barrera and Marquez into retirement would cost Oscar some $$$ dontcha think? Look what happened the first time Pacquiao rolled them over. They waited half a year just to put Barrera in with Ayala and a last opportunity against Morales, which Barrera capitalized on, but that's besides the point. Marquez' career went down the toilet after the Pacquiao fight and is only now beginning to recover (slightly) 3 years later. Pacquiao will put these guys out of commission. No more fights. Retirement.

At this stage of the game, it's not about money for either Oscar or Arum. All these big promoters want to do is save face and one-up each other. With their personal history, I think it's that Arum sees that he made De La Hoya into a massive star and the richest fighter in the world, and De La Hoya stabbed him in the back.

We're likely to be seeing this kind of bull**** for some time.

Arum wins rights to Pacquiao ----De La Hoya puts on Barrera Marquez.

They're at one another's throats, but while fights like Barrera and Marquez are being made, who's arguing?

Maybe Pacquiao will fight Valero later this year overseas.

Don King as a promoter is better than Arum because he give his figher chances like Corey Spinks, Shannon Briggs and Mayorga as well Kamazine...etc.

                  He give them fights.

I think one of the things that Daiz signed up with him because he could give him the fight that he wants
