Should Mayweather Sr. Be in DLH's corner on May 5th

    What are you thoughts...

Should this be Father against Son?
Do you think this relationship will turn around and bite DLH in the rear?

I personaly think that DLH should explore other options. Perhaps Roach was not such a bad idea...

Reasons why DLH should not get FMSr.
1 - Roger Mayweather, Floyd Sr.'s brother, will be out of jail in time to serve as Floyd Jr.'s trainer, putting enough Mayweathers in the ring to overshadow the Golden Boy himself.

2 - As the promoter of De La Hoya-Mayweather, De La Hoya has to wonder how volatile the Mayweather Family Feud could turn. As you'll recall, the last time Roger was in the ring he nearly incited a brawl during Floyd Jr.'s fight with Zab Judah.

3 - Furthermore, having Mayweather Sr. in De La Hoya's corner will only serve to motivate Floyd Jr. even more. He may want to defeat his father even more than he would De La Hoya.

4 - And then what if the fight is a brawl, a brutal slugfest where De La Hoya is hurting Floyd Jr. Can De La Hoya trust Floyd Sr. to keep his emotions strictly professional?

5 - This is the fight of De La Hoya's career. He lost against Felix Trinidad, lost against Shane Mosley twice, lost against Bernard Hopkins. For the first time, De La Hoya goes into a big fight as the underdog and he'll need a cohesive team he can trust in order to succeed.

DLH should get Roach or Tito Sr.

I hope from a peer drama standpoint he is.

Me and my borther argue about this, he says no way should Oscar have Senior in his corner on fight night.

I myself think there is no one on earth that wants to beat Junior more then Senior therefore it would be a good move.

It would be fun to watch and add to the PPV hoopla for sure.

I hope Sr. doesn't train DLH. I think he would help a ton if he did. And being a Floyd Jr. fan, I don't want to see it. I would give Oscar a LOT better chance at beating Floyd Jr. if Floyd Sr. was in his corner.

Here's how it will go. Mayweather Sr. will be giving Oscar all the wrong strategies during the fight and when the scorecard is being read (120-108 on all cards), Ashton Kutcher will come out.

he shouldnt and for one simple reason - he's a ****ing shocking trainer! he's got no business training DLH in the first place. some of the things he says in the corner are laughable, like after the first round of Mosley 2 when he told Oscar that Shane was tiring. AFTER ONE ROUND!?
